Terms of Service

Gantabya helps riders discover bus routes, stops, and multi-leg journeys within Kathmandu Valley. Features may include route search, maps, live traffic-aware estimates, trip guidance, and road disruption notices when available.

Gantabya is a planning tool only. We do not operate buses, sell tickets, track vehicles in real time, or guarantee arrival times, seat availability, or fare amounts.

Service hours for route planning reflect typical KTM bus operations (approximately 05:30–21:00). Routes outside operating hours may not appear in results.

You must use the Service lawfully and for personal, non-commercial trip planning within the supported service area (Kathmandu Valley).

You may not disrupt or overload the Service, scrape or bulk-download data, bypass authentication or rate limits, reverse engineer the app, or use automated tools to abuse our servers or third-party map providers.

We may suspend or restrict access to protect users, comply with law, or maintain system integrity.

If you choose "current location" as a trip origin or start trip guidance, the app requests location permission from your device. You may deny permission and enter places manually instead.

During active trip guidance, location may be read periodically while the app is in use to provide boarding and alighting alerts. We do not track your location in the background when you are not using trip guidance.

Route, stop, and schedule information is compiled from administrative sources, open map data, and third-party routing providers. Stops, roads, and routes may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect.

Traffic-aware duration estimates and road disruption notices are provided when available but may be delayed, unavailable, or inaccurate. They are indicative only.

When a feature cannot be verified (for example live road geometry or traffic data), the app will indicate that limitation rather than present unverified data as certain.

You are responsible for verifying critical travel decisions, especially during emergencies, night travel, festivals, road closures, or adverse weather.

The Gantabya name, branding, app design, and original content are owned by the Service operator or its licensors.

Map tiles, open data, and routing results may be subject to third-party licenses (including OpenStreetMap contributors and Google Maps Platform). Those materials remain governed by their respective terms.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that suggested routes are the fastest, safest, cheapest, or most accurate option for your trip.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Gantabya and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including missed connections, delays, property damage, or reliance on suggested routes, traffic estimates, or disruption alerts.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to use the Service in the twelve months before the claim (or NPR 0 if the Service is free).

We may update these Terms or modify features of the Service. The "Last updated" date will change when we do. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the app. We may terminate or restrict access as described above.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Nepal. Courts in Kathmandu, Nepal shall have jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms, subject to mandatory consumer protections that may apply to you.
